In keeping with our corporate commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, we recently convened our JEDI Council (!) over lunch. We introduced ourselves and shared our “origin” stories on how we got into clean energy and engineering. NCSI updated everyone on our progress in the Solar Prize including deadlines and prototype development. We also clarified our JEDI goals to bring more women into engineering and clean energy in general. Our advisors helped us coalesce around a few short term goals: partnering with NC State for lectures, bringing high school students to campus, and pursuing grants to help us hire diverse candidates. It was a great beginning to our JEDI efforts in collaboration with our Council. Thanks to Riza, Laura B, Laura C, and Nannette. We’ll provide updates later this summer on our progress.
